Performance Test

Introduction

We use winpcap lib as our packet capture engine. Winpcap has been used at many famous tools, as windump,ethereal,snort and so on.As is most widely used,winpcap's performance is better than others.
Our products are all written by ansi c.This brings us high speed and performance.

Test Data

1). Test Environment:100M ethernet,one computer do sending and another do capturing.Figure:

2). Sending Speed:As shown in figure,100M bandwidth are almost fully used.

3). Result: As shown in figure,the data capture percent to 88 bytes,500 bytes,1000 bytes and 1514 bytes on windows98,windows2000 all reaches 100%, and cpu load is lowest on windows2000.
